“We see the world, not as it is, but as we are
─ or, as we are conditioned to see it.”

Hi!
My name is Lynsi, and I have been working with children for the past 7 years. I love littles because they bring a fresh perspective to everything, and they teach me so much!
Some of my favourite extracurricular activities are swimming and golfing. I live a very active lifestyle, and I feel that this is an asset when it comes to working with small children.
Before I opened this day-home, I spent my time teaching swimming lessons, lifeguarding and working as a First Aid & CPR Instructor.
I recently completed my Level 3 ECE Diploma with the Alberta Government, and I am currently working on my Business degree while working Full-time.
I have a very bubbly personality and I love to learn, making me a great candidate for fostering growth and development in early childhood.
Philosophy
I follow a Reggio Emilia approach combined with Montessori principles to guide my teaching practices. While we maintain a consistent routine, my methods are deeply rooted in a child-led philosophy. I believe every child deserves to have their own voice and feel comfortable and empowered to occupy their own space.
My focus lies heavily on valuing effort over outcome, fostering a learning environment where children feel free to explore, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. This approach allows each child to develop confidence and independence while nurturing their innate curiosity.
The video linked here beautifully illustrates this philosophy in action, showcasing how children thrive when given the freedom to express themselves and lead their learning journeys.
